The 20TN tweeter has a lower resonance frequency, making the crossover design a non-complicated task. The tweeter comes with a small waveguide, but based upon request, the tweeter can be also delivered as a “bare” tweeter and assembled with your own waveguide.

The best application is in tabletop studio monitors, prosumer products, bookshelf speakers, TV bars, micro line-arrays, etc.

The 20TNX8-383 is a 0.8-inch neodymium silk dome tweeter rated at 10 W AES (20 W continuous) into a nominal 8-ohm load. Sensitivity is 87 dB (1 W/1 m), well matched to compact neodymium mid-woofers and full-range drivers in 2-way column and satellite systems. With a free-air resonance of 1,700 Hz, a 20.3 mm voice coil, and an integrated waveguide, this driver is designed for direct baffle mounting in narrow-profile products without the need for a separate external waveguide. The integrated waveguide provides controlled directivity and acoustic loading that extends the usable operating range toward 2 kHz.

The frequency response is usable from approximately 2,000 Hz, with a smooth, flat plateau of 86-89 dB maintained from approximately 2 kHz to 20 kHz. The integrated waveguide loading contributes to the extended low-frequency usability compared to bare dome designs of the same diameter. The impedance peak at Fs (1,700 Hz) defines the minimum safe crossover frequency. The response remains consistent to 20 kHz with no significant breakup-related peaks.

The driver is rated for 10 W AES and is intended for column speaker arrays, compact PA satellite tops, and consumer-grade 2-way designs. A minimum crossover frequency of 2,000-2,500 Hz (12-18 dB/octave high-pass) is recommended. The 8-ohm nominal impedance is compatible with standard passive crossover networks. Good to use with full-range or mid-woofer drivers such as 5FRX8-465A, 61FHMX4-381, or compact neodymium woofers of 4-6-inch format in 2-way column, compact PA, or tabletop studio monitor designs.

The 20TNX8-383 is suited for column speaker arrays, TV soundbars, compact 2-way PA satellite tops, tabletop studio monitors, and micro line-array modules where an integrated waveguide simplifies baffle geometry and the neodymium motor reduces system weight for portable applications.
