Design Notes

25TF ferrite based tweter was design for high quality audio applications. It sports aluminum dome, carefully attached to poly-silk surround. Furthermore, the magnetic system and dome sub-assembly is inbuilt into carrier that is later further assembled with our waveguide.
The magnetic circuit delivers robust and consistent B field. Its design has been FEM optimized and features small resonant chamber. All metal parts are coated for weather protection.
The dome is carefully attached to CCAW winding voice coil, wound on a Kapton former. Our precission adhesive dispensing ensures consistency and reliability of all our products.
The best application of this device is in studio monitors, 2-way Hi-Fi systems as well as outdoor products.

Technical Summary

The 25TFX4-431A is a 1-inch ferrite aluminum dome tweeter rated at 10 W AES (20 W continuous) into a nominal 4-ohm load. Sensitivity is 89.5 dB (1 W/1 m). With a free-air resonance of 1,500 Hz and a 25.4 mm voice coil, this driver incorporates an integrated waveguide and a weather-sealed construction - including UV-stabilized materials and sealed voice coil gap - designed for outdoor and weather-exposed applications. The aluminum dome provides high stiffness and extended high-frequency response. The integrated waveguide controls dispersion and acoustic loading, simplifying baffle design and enabling the driver to be mounted directly into outdoor PA cabinet baffles without additional horn components.

The frequency response is usable from approximately 2,000 Hz, with a flat plateau of 88-91 dB maintained from approximately 2 kHz to 20 kHz. The integrated waveguide loading contributes to smooth off-axis response and improved directivity control in the crossover region. The aluminum dome's stiffness results in good piston-mode response through the operating bandwidth, with consistent high-frequency extension.

The driver is rated for 10 W AES and is intended for outdoor PA cabinets, portable PA tops, commercial outdoor installation, and column speaker arrays in weather-exposed environments. A crossover frequency of 2,000-3,000 Hz (12-18 dB/octave high-pass) is recommended. The 4-ohm nominal impedance requires crossover components rated for low-impedance loads. Good to use with weather-resistant 6.5-8-inch woofers such as 61FHMX4-381, 61FHMX4-430C, or 8FINDX8-030 in outdoor 2-way PA top or installation cabinet designs.

The 25TFX4-431A is suited for 2-way compact PA top cabinets for portable and fixed outdoor use, column speaker arrays, outdoor commercial installation, and any application where weatherproofing, integrated waveguide geometry, and a compact ferrite 1-inch dome tweeter are required.
