33TN tweeter was developped for system applications where high SPL and high power handling is required. The tweeter is supplied as “bullet” in general terms, however based upon a request, our engineers can recommend or design waveguide for your application.
The tweeter sports large surround and unsually tall dome. This combination provides excellent low freqnecy behaviour and smooth frequency response.
The magnetic structer utilizes high grade neodymium magnets and u-cup style steel. Overall the structe delivers very high performance with consistent BL field.
Connection is made with solder lugs. Based upon request, we can deliver this tweeter with soldered wire harness as per your specifications.
Intended applications are array systems, hi-SPL 2-way and multiway speaker systems and autmotive applications.

The 33TNX8-410B is a 1.3-inch neodymium silk dome tweeter rated at 10 W AES (20 W continuous) into a nominal 8-ohm load. Sensitivity is 92 dB (1 W/1 m), well matched to moderate-to-high-sensitivity 6.5-12-inch woofers in 2-way hi-fi and studio monitor designs. With a free-air resonance of 1,200 Hz and a 25.4 mm voice coil, the larger 1.3-inch dome diameter provides improved high-frequency dispersion and lower distortion at the crossover frequency compared to 1-inch formats, making it suitable for larger-format 2-way systems and premium commercial installations. The neodymium motor ensures a compact, lightweight assembly.

The frequency response is usable from approximately 1,500 Hz, with a flat plateau of 90-93 dB maintained from approximately 1.5 kHz to 20 kHz. The larger dome diameter produces better off-axis response at the crossover frequency compared to smaller formats, contributing to coherent 2-way polar behaviour when crossed over at 1.5-2.5 kHz. High-frequency response extends smoothly to 20 kHz. The low Fs (1,200 Hz) provides wide crossover margin.

The driver is rated for 10 W AES and is suited for high-performance 2-way hi-fi floorstanding and bookshelf loudspeakers, studio reference monitors, and premium commercial installation designs. A crossover frequency of 1,800-2,500 Hz (12-18 dB/octave high-pass) is recommended. The 8-ohm nominal impedance is directly compatible with standard passive crossover networks. Good to use with 6.5-12-inch woofers such as 8FHWX4-382, 10FHWX4-117, 101FHWX4-118, 12XRX8-270, or 121NPMX8-079 in 2-way hi-fi bookshelf, floor-standing, or studio monitor designs.

The 33TNX8-410B is suited for hi-fi 2-way bookshelf and floor-standing loudspeakers, studio reference monitors, and premium commercial installation systems where the larger 1.3-inch dome format, neodymium motor, high sensitivity, and smooth silk dome character are the primary high-frequency driver selection criteria.
