The 202NTiX8-555A is a 3-inch neodymium titanium compression driver rated at 100 W AES (200 W continuous) into a nominal 8-ohm load. Sensitivity is 109 dB (1 W/1 m). With a free-air resonance of 700 Hz, a 76 mm voice coil, and a 35 mm horn exit, this driver is closely related to the 201NTiX8-316, sharing the titanium dome with surround-integrated resonance control, compact neodymium motor design, and broad operating bandwidth from approximately 700 Hz. The 202NTiX8-555A represents the current production revision of this design, incorporating any refinements to the magnetic circuit and diaphragm assembly carried forward from the 316 variant.

The frequency response is usable from approximately 600 Hz with horn loading, with a flat plateau of 108-111 dB maintained from approximately 1 kHz to 15 kHz. The very low Fs (700 Hz) - confirmed by the impedance peak in the measurement - enables coverage from approximately 700 Hz to beyond 15 kHz with appropriate horn loading. The titanium dome resonance control features are reflected in the smooth high-frequency behavior above 10 kHz, consistent with the 201NTiX8-316 measurement data.

The driver is rated for 100 W AES and requires high-power professional amplification. A crossover frequency of 700-1,200 Hz (18-24 dB/octave high-pass) is recommended. The 35 mm exit requires compatible horn designs. Good to use with 15-inch or 18-inch professional woofers such as 15FINDX8-035, 18FINDX8-036, 181XRX4-350, or 21NPWX4-018 in 2-way or 3-way touring PA and installation line-array designs.

The 202NTiX8-555A is suited for professional PA 2-way and 3-way top cabinets, touring mid-high cabinets, installed line-array systems, and high-SPL applications where the 3-inch neodymium titanium class's extended low-frequency capability, titanium dome resonance control, and 100 W AES power handling are required.
