61FIND continues our series of affordable ferrite mid-woofers. The driver was designed with ferrite magnetic circuit, combined with lightweight, yet strong, paper cone and fabric surround. In the heart of the 61FIND is 2” CCAW high temperature wire wound on TIL former. This combination provides remarkable strength, great temperature resistance and ensures high level of move force transfer onto the cone without sound artifacts.
All steel parts are extensively treated for weather protection. Cone neck was furthermore treated with fire-retardants. That together with non-flammable Nomex spider and TIL voice coil former allows the designers accommodate this driver in UL listed products.

The 61FINDX16-332A is a 6.5-inch cost-effective ferrite mid-woofer designed for compact two-way professional PA systems, installed distributed audio, column array speakers, and ceiling or surface-mount enclosures where mid-range coverage from approximately 160 Hz to 2.5 kHz is required. The 16-ohm nominal impedance supports direct integration with 70V and 100V distributed audio systems, and parallel configurations of two or four drivers per channel at 8 or 4 ohms respectively to match standard professional PA amplifier loads while increasing combined sensitivity and power handling. A single driver delivers 92 dB (1 W/1 m) at 16ohm and approximately 114 dB at 1 metre maximum SPL from 150 W AES; a parallel pair in 8ohm configuration raises effective sensitivity to 95 dB and maximum SPL to approximately 117 dB from a compact two-way enclosure format. The 2-inch CCAW voice coil is wound on a high-temperature TIL former, and fire-retardant treatment is applied to the cone neck; the Nomex spider is non-flammable and the steel basket is treated for weather protection - a combination of materials specifically selected to support UL listing of finished products including ceiling speakers, paging speakers, luminaires with integrated audio, and public address equipment in fire-rated installations.

The 61FINDX16-332A is suited for: compact two-way PA speakers using parallel pairs in 8ohm configuration with a compression driver for medium-output installations; column array speaker systems where multiple drivers are mounted in sealed back-can sections behind a baffle; 70V and 100V distributed audio ceiling, pendant, and wall speakers for background music, paging, and public address in commercial, retail, and hospitality environments; UL-listed fixed installation speaker products in fire-rated buildings and public spaces; small-format two-way stage monitors and near-field reference monitors; and compact installed fill speakers for theatres, houses of worship, and stadiums where small cabinet size, fire-retardant materials, and weather-sealed construction are required alongside adequate midrange coverage. Its 16ohm impedance, UL-compatible materials, cost-effective ferrite motor, and compact 78 mm depth make it the appropriate driver within the REDCATT portfolio for affordable, multi-driver professional two-way products in the mid-bass to midrange frequency range.
