152FIND

The 152FIND is a high efficiency, (99 dB 1watt / 1 meter) 15-inch woofer with incredibly linear frequency response characteristics, high power handling capability while generating low harmonic distortion artifacts. The 152FIND uses a lightweight carbon fiber loaded cone assembly along with a high excursion triple roll constant geometry surround. This combination provides remarkable strength, high efficiency and a peak to peak maximum excursion of 15mm.

Power Handling
At the core of the 152FIND is it’s voice coil technology featuring a composite Polyimide former material capable of withstanding peak temperatures in excess of 280C, well beyond the thermal requirements of modern professional audio systems.
The 152FIND cone and dust cap are made using an advanced carbon fiber loaded REDCATT pulp. The woofer cone is also extensively treated to withstand harsh environments and high humidity. Metal parts in the speaker assembly are coated for extreme weatherization protection.

The 152FINDX8-115 is a 15-inch professional mid-bass woofer designed for high-SPL two-way PA systems, installed loudspeakers, and touring enclosures operating across the 40-1000 Hz bandwidth. With a sensitivity of 99.03 dB (1 W/1 m), it is among the highest-efficiency 15-inch woofer designs in the professional audio market, enabling competitive system SPL output from relatively compact enclosures and modest amplifier power. The driver uses a 76 mm (3-inch) CCAW voice coil wound on a Polyimide former rated to withstand peak temperatures in excess of 280 degC, providing sustained high-power handling without thermal compression across long-duration programme material. The Ferrite motor system delivers a Bl of 18.3 T.m at a Qts of 0.37, yielding a controlled, motor-damped response optimized for vented (bass reflex) alignment. The Qms of 13.0 indicates near-lossless mechanical suspension; essentially all system damping is provided by the motor and external amplifier, with the suspension contributing minimal resistive losses - a design approach that maximizes efficiency and sensitivity. The carbon fiber loaded REDCATT paper cone is treated against humidity and environmental exposure, and metal components are coated for weatherization, making the 152FIND suitable for permanent indoor and semi-outdoor installation.

The 152FINDX8-115 requires high-power professional amplification delivering 800-1600 W into 8 ohms, with DSP signal management mandatory for all alignments. A minimum 24 dB/octave high-pass filter at 50, 40, or 35 Hz - depending on alignment - must be applied, as cone excursion rises rapidly below the vented tuning frequency where the enclosure no longer provides acoustic loading. Displacement and power limiting are recommended in all DSP presets. The recommended low-pass crossover frequency for integration with a compression driver or high-frequency section is 1.0-1.5 kHz at 24 dB/octave, providing full programme bandwidth from a single two-way system. The CCAW voice coil winding, lighter than equivalent copper, contributes to the high sensitivity figure without sacrificing the current-carrying capacity required at 800 W AES power levels.
