The 121FPW is a high efficiency, (98 dB 1watt / 1 meter) 12inch woofer with incredibly linear frequency response characteristics, high power handling capability while generating low harmonic distortion artifacts. The 121FPW uses a unique REDCATT developed lightweight mica loaded cone assembly along with a high excursion double roll constant geometry surround. This combination provides remarkable strength and high efficiency.

The Cone

The 121FPW lightweight cone and dust cap are made using an advanced Redcatt pulp with mica particles reinforcement. The advantage of this unique cone material is the very high strength to mass ratio. The woofer cone is also extensively treated to withstand harsh environments and high humidity. Metal parts in the speaker assembly are coated for extreme weatherization protection.
